Location: Las Colinas, TX
Length: 18-month contract
As a tier 3 Triage Engineer, you will be designing and driving the discovery of potentially unique solutions for each of your customers situations as part of a team. Well provide you with abundant resources, including a rich content library, advanced diagnostic tools, the business product group, and the experience of tenured engineers around you. You will have the opportunity to solve technically complex problems as well as to collaborate and help your colleagues by sharing the results of your investigation. In this professional role, your contribution and overall impact is self-directed and the opportunities are plentiful.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in support, including software and hardware
Windows 7 knowledge and troubleshooting experience
Strong customer service skills
Accurate and logical problem solving and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
MCSE and/or MCITP
Responsibilities
Review of consumer submitted bugs for Windows 8
Validate Windows 8 submitted bugs
Reproduce submitted bugs
Transfer of Windows 8 bugs to proper buckets
Handle minimum of 130 triaged bugs per day
Be able to perform database queries
Understand different technical issues in relation to consumers
Identify common patters/trends of issues
Analyze designs; simulate and test how a machine, structure, or system operates
Since computer engineers can work with programmers, designers, product developers and testers, strong interpersonal and communication skills is a must, as well as the ability to work in a team.
